It is very sad that this happened and I feel bad for the family of this boy. I never knew dry drowning existed until about an hour ago, but that is really scary. Here are some symptoms of someone who may be experiencing the phenomenon.

If they come out of the water and their mental status has changed – they may be confused, overly sleepy, having trouble sleeping, chest pain or feel that they have swallowed a great deal of water – in that instance, I would recommend that someone seek emergency medical care.

Yesterday I was interested in a recent spike in traffic to my blog. Of course I can’t complain about this as I appreciate new viewers however I can get them, but my Playstation 4 BBQ post recently received about 5 times the hits I normally get in 1 day.

So I was looking around on Google Images, looking for something to do a little photoshopping with. I wanted to do something else with the supposed PS4 picture, so I typed in Playstation 4. Turns out I’m listed as the number 2 image at Google Images for the term ‘playstation 4′. This impresses me because my blog has only been running for a week now. I hope to receive even more visits via Google Images in the future…so expect more pictures on here. I have to give all credit to gizmodo.com because they we’re the original creators of the image. Or at least that is the source of the image, maybe they didn’t make it themselves.

So for anyone trying to get more viewers, which is pretty much every webmaster or blog author, considering being a bit creative with the images you provide, try to think of something easy to get ranked in on Google Images, it seems to be easier than getting a high ranking page rank quickly, and a new strategy that sn’t talked about much in the traffic building developer forums such as forums.digitalpoint.com

Be sure to use well crafted keywords in the alt text of your html image code that you will use. This helps search engines to identify what is in the picture and rank it accordingly. Use phrases people are likely to search for and then click your image.

Hope this may help some of you out there, feel free to leave some comments if you find any success in bringing in more traffic by utilizing google images.

P.S. I forgot to mention, the playstation 4 grill image ranks 3 currently out of 18 million images, in less than 4 days. Sweeeet!  Just goes to show you how much Google trusts WordPress.com hosted blogs.  My pages are indexed in minutes.

For those of you who may be wondering why I haven’t implemented any ads myself, well it is important to note that WordPress.com hosted blogs, such as mine, CANNOT implement any of the popular CPC services such as AdSense.

However, if you own your own domain and are using WordPress, you will be able to monetize your blog quickly and easily.

Really, there is a variety of ways to implement your advertisements. A plethora of quality WordPress plug-ins is the preferred way. But, this is not necessary as you are able to display ads by inserting raw ad code into your blog posts, or directly into your wordpress template files.

For those who don’t know, Tommy Chong was part of the popular comedy duo Cheech and Chong, two Mexican Americans who glamorized drug use, particularly marijuana.

The documentary is very interesting and informative if you we’re ever a fan of the two. The majority of the documentary is focused on Tommy and his recent court battle against the DEA. He was arrested in his home during a nationwide operation known as Pipe Dreams. The operation was targeting companies and their owners that we’re involved in making bongs and glass pipes. Although it is illegal to sell these as drug paraphernalia, it is perfectly alright as long as you label them as FOR TOBACCO USE ONLY, and you don’t ship your products to certain states, even if a customer begs you to send them a large shipment.

So the sneaky DEA actually tricked Chong Glass, Tommy’s company into shipping some stock to Pennsylvania, which is a crime. Over a period of a couple months a DEA agent would call them almost everyday trying to get them to ship all their stock out to Pennsylvania. Although over months and months they declined the same person, they kept calling and calling and eventually they made the wrong decision to send them the products. The agent even offered to come directly to the factory since they wouldn’t ship to Pennsylvania because of the law. Apparently this is STILL illegal and ended up being what the Feds needed to bust Tommy. During their raid they found a pound of marijuana, no real surprise there.

Of all the people arrested in operation Pipe Dreams, Tommy was given the longest sentence, and pleaded guilty in federal court. He was threatened by the feds that if he did not submit a guilty plea, they would seek charges against Tommy’s son and wife. The sad part about all of this is Tommy was not the one who first created Chong glass, it was Tommy’s son that initially started the company, and in the documentary he displays his regret for ultimately bringing his dad into the business that got him busted. Also, the politician behind the whole operation was only looking for kudos amongst her corrupt counterparts, and actually recieved a promotion after the successful arrest of Tommy Chong. This whole thing was a giant smear campaign against Tommy for his work in his old Cheech and Chong films.

So he eneded up serving 9 months in federal prison for the whole thing. I read an interesting quote from Tommy concerning prison, it was something like this, “You’re not in prison when your in your dreams!” I’m guessing Tommy did alot of sleeping on jail, as would I. For those who haven’t seen AKA Tommy Chong, it follows the events that took place much better than I did. Check it out!
